Socket head shoulder screws, also known as shoulder bolts and stripper bolts, are precision
fasteners that have a hex-shaped socket in a roundhead, an unthreaded shoulder and a threaded tip.
Socket headshoulder screws, have a long, unthreaded, cylindrical shoulder that allows for the
rotation of attached parts like pulleys, gears, moving parts of engines and mechanical assemblies,
and rolling wheels. These screws are also used to attach stripper plates.
A socket head shoulder screw is most commonly driven with an allen wrench or hex key.
