A button head socket screw is a type of cap screw with a domed head and hexagonal drive hole.
It is is most commonly driven with an allen wrench or hex key.
Button heads are light duty screws used in places where the exposed heads come in contact with
other materials which could be damaged by other higher profile fasteners. Materials that are used in
harnesses could be damaged by a hex or socket head screw.
